Insurance money, moved correctly
Premium collection, commission splits, carrier settlements, refunds, and escheatment, reconciled continuously by agents against your policy ledger. Built for how insurance dollars actually move, not bolted onto generic e-commerce rails.
Downstream: carrier net, producer, surplus lines, state assessment, per filed routing.
Every dollar, typed and tracked
Insurance money moves differently than e-commerce money. Premium, surplus lines tax, producer commission, carrier net, state assessment. Each has its own rails, its own filings, its own audit. Sure's payment engine treats them that way from the first charge.
Premium collection
ACH, card, wire, escrow release. Tokenized at the edge through a tokenization vault, routed through Sure as merchant of record, and written to the ledger on the same transaction as the bind.
Commission splits
Producer, sub-producer, MGA, wholesaler, finder. Every split runs against the filed pricing configuration for that sub-merchant. Splits post atomically with the premium charge.
Carrier sweeps
Daily or on-demand ACH transfers to each carrier through a banking partner, batched per gateway configuration. Gross premium, net premium, ceded premium are all typed and posted separately.
Refunds and cancels
Short-rate, pro-rata, flat. Each state's cancellation rules are encoded and auditable. The refund is scheduled the moment the cancel is booked, with clawback tracked if the gateway fee sticks.
Escheatment
Dormant funds tracked per jurisdiction, reported to state treasurers on the filing cadence, with case files ready for examination.
Continuous reconciliation
Agents walk the ledger against bank statements on a rolling cadence. Mismatches surface as structured exceptions, with the offending transaction pre-loaded and a suggested correction attached.
One bind, seven ledger entries, zero ambiguity

Every premium dollar is typed, routed, and attributed at the moment of collection. No end-of-month reconciliation dance, no spreadsheet tie-out, no guessing which producer earned which override.
One ledger, many dashboards
Same payment engine, surfaced three ways. Finance closes the month. Compliance pulls the audit. Engineering wires the API.

Money moves only where it's licensed to go
Every dollar is bounded by a filed rule. Agents can reconcile fast because the edges are hard.
Licensed payment entity
Sure is the merchant of record and operates through licensed payment partners. The ledger knows which entity holds which dollar at every moment, including during settlement.
Producer license check
No commission is paid to a producer who isn't actively appointed in the state of risk. Licenses are checked at bind, at renewal, and at sweep.
Carrier-specific routing
Every sub-merchant has its own gateway configuration and pricing rules. Premium for one carrier never lands in another's settlement account.
State tax and fee accuracy
Surplus lines, stamping fees, state assessments, per-policy taxes. Rates are maintained on a filing cadence and applied at the moment of collection.
Escheatment compliance
Dormancy is tracked per jurisdiction. Aged funds route to state treasurers on the filing calendar, with the case file attached to every remittance.
Double-entry invariant
No transaction is written unless debits equal credits. The ledger refuses unbalanced posts, from humans or agents.

“We closed February in ninety minutes. On our old stack that was a five-person, three-day ordeal. The agent's reconciliation log is the reconciliation now.”
